Don studied painting at the Indiana University Art school in Fort Wayne Indiana in the 1970's. Early years were spent in technical illustration, drafting and design, as well as oil painting.
His preference is outdoor themed art, and first day of issue postal art, with concentration on detailed realism.
The settings of the paintings are mostly within the scenic areas of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. You will also find beautiful scenes from our countries coastal areas and western states in his work.
